HELP CREATE SMILES BY GIVING THE GIFT OF DREAMS!

There are two ways to support Make-A-Wish of Japan:
1. Financial Support and
2. Contribution of time, talent and effort.
Being more specific, here are some ways in which you can help.

1. Financial Support

Supporting Members: such members make contributions of a significant amount of their own choice on an annual basis. Enrollment can be initiated any time of the year. These members receive membership cards and regular newsletters detailing wish granting, fundraising activities and financial reports.

Donations - any amount at any time. Funds donated to Make-A-Wish Foundation® of Japan do not accrue to the benefit of Make-A-Wish Foundation® of America, any United States Chapter of Make-A-Wish Foundation® of America, or the children that Make-A-Wish Foundation® of America and its Chapters serve.

Purchase of Make-A-Wish of Japan products: Products for sale include Tshirts, postcards, mugs, picture books and much more. In addition, if you know of any opportunity to sell Make-A-Wish of Japan products at a booth at any event, please let us know.

2. Contribution of time, talent and efforts

Be a member of a Wish Granting Team: A team of active volunteers are assigned to grant a wish. These volunteers must take volunteer training, attend volunteer meetings and events regularly in order to be able to properly understand and convey the message and purposes of Make-A-Wish of Japan to Wish family and others.

Plan and organize Make-A-Wish of Japan events: To raise both funds and public awareness, Make-A-Wish of Japan conducts many fundraising events. Some have even become annual events such as the Imperial Palace Marathon in April and the Bowling tournament in August. Anyone who is talented and/or interested in planning these events and more, are very much welcomed.

Public Relations: To maintain good relationship with contributing individuals, corporations, groups, schools, medical institutions and the media, we need volunteers to constantly provide valuable information and keep them aware and interested in our activities.

Centers of Influence: If you know of someone in show business, the music business, a sports professional, a leader in industry etc., your introduction of Make-A-Wish of Japan to such people is valuable in granting wishes.

Office Work: The Make-A-Wish of Japan Tokyo office is open from Monday to Friday from 10 am - 4 pm. If you can stop by and help for a few hours, your time and efforts will be appreciated. Office tasks include preparing letters and material, receiving telephone calls, making copies, addressing envelopes.

There is always something to be done!

Here are the programs available to volunteers at no cost:
